Austin Family seeking an amazing Nanny!


Family in Austin seeking a nanny to partner with their family from February - June. There is a long-term potential for this family, Dad is a teacher and will be off for the Summer. There is a potential for part-time hours over the summer with an extension back to full-time when school is back in session if baby doesnโ€™t go to daycare.

Theyโ€™d like someone to care for baby and run through the daytime schedule with baby while mom works & runs her business. They do plan on sleep training so the nanny must be onboard with this!

Join This Family as They Welcome a New Baby! A loving family is in search of a nurturing nanny to help care for their little one, who will be around 1 month old. This dynamic household includes a dedicated mom, a busy dad, an elementary kiddo and three adorable pets: a dog and two cats (with no pet responsibilities required).

About the Family:

  • Mom: Business owner working from home.

  • Dad: Teacher, off during the summer.

  • Current Need: Assistance through early June, with potential occasional support during the summer if needed.

Start Date: Feb 3rd, 2025

Ages of Children: 1-month-old baby (occasional care for a 6-year-old if sheโ€™s home sick)

Compensation: $25 - $30/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Benefits: 1-2 sick days, 4-5 PTO days

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • Caring for the newborn (currently 2 weeks old), including help with feeds (mom does breastfeed), diaper changes, and fostering a soothing environment.

  • Light household tasks related to the baby, such as laundry, diaper trash, etc. 

  • Open to supporting the older child if sheโ€™s home sick from school, but primary focus is on the baby.

  • Familiarity with safe sleep practices, as they follow AAP guidelines, as well as being comfortable following a routine at some point.

  • Understanding of infant care and readiness to help with sleep training.

  • Open to warm and friendly communication with parents, providing feedback and support as needed.
